In Liverpool, autumn is the new summer with the Blackscreen International Film & Video Festival. Now in it’s 6th year, the small festival with the big impact is back!
The theme for this years’ festival is to celebrate 10 years of democracy in South Africa. There will be films that challenge the stereotype and promote the positive as well as attempting to demystify the whole film process. The City of Culture 2008 is best reflected in this world presentation of filmmaking at its best.
With it’s screenings for young people through to the third generation, workshops and master-classes from industry specialists helping you to get started and break into film, through to World Shorts, the festival offers a visual World in One City.
You can’t miss it!
We would like to give a special thanks to all our volunteers and this years events team, Tina Dobbs, Toni Mallen, John Owen and Mak Khozie.
